We are incredibly proud to announce that phase one of our building redevelopment has been named Best Project of the Year at the prestigious EastProp Awards 2026, recognising the transformation of our historic theatre following its ambitious redevelopment.
The Best Project of the Year award is sponsored by Carter Jonas and celebrates the most outstanding development across the East of England. The Arts Theatre was selected from an exceptional shortlist spanning commercial, civic and cultural projects.
Presented at a black-tie ceremony at Homerton College, Cambridge, the awards showcase excellence across the region's property industry, recognising projects that demonstrate outstanding design, delivery, collaboration and impact.
Phase One of our redevelopment has transformed our auditorium while carefully preserving the Theatre's historic character. Every decision we made was about creating a better experience for our audiences, giving artists and creatives the facilities they deserve, and ensuring The Arts Theatre can continue to play a vital role in Cambridge's cultural life for many years to come.
Winning Best Project of the Year is a wonderful recognition, celebrating not only the building itself but everything it makes possible.
