Noughts & Crosses CPD
CPD for Teachers with Pilot Theatre
Led by Pilot Theatre’s Associate Director, this free practical session will share creative approaches to exploring Noughts & Crosses in the classroom. Focusing on extracts from both the play text and the novel, the workshop will consider the theatrical realisation of the production, and examine social justice issues related to its themes.
Aimed at secondary school and Further Education teachers, this session would be most suited to those whose subject specialisms are Drama, English and PSHE, or who have an interest in using creativity in the classroom.
The workshop accompanies Pilot Theatre’s national tour of Noughts & Crosses, which will be presented at The Arts Theatre Cambridge between Wednesday 15 April – Saturday 18 April 2026. There are also comprehensive learning resources available, which include filmed scene extracts of the performance to watch again.
Pilot Theatre is an award-winning international touring theatre company committed to creating high quality theatre for young audiences. Their projects seek to create a space where young adults can encounter, express, and interrogate big ideas that are relevant to our lives right now.
This workshop is free, but spaces are limited so advanced booking is essential.
