Pantomime Stars Take on Cambridge’s Biggest Running Challenge

This March, stars from last year's pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, will be running the Cambridge Half Marathon in support of our Pay it Forward appeal.

Legendary panto dame, Matt Crosby – who last year celebrated his twentieth year at The Arts Theatre – will be swapping his high heels for trainers on Sunday 8th March. He will be taking on the 21km running challenge alongside his co-stars Steven, Sophie, Danielle and Oliver.

Our subsidised ticket programme supports children and young people who would otherwise face barriers to accessing the performing arts, with the aim that every primary-aged child in Cambridge is able to experience the magic of live theatre.

Matt Crosby says: “For so many children, a trip to the pantomime is their very first taste of theatre – and often the start of a lifelong love of it. Being able to share that experience with families across Cambridgeshire every year really means the world to us. With your help, we can make that a reality. So if you can, please support us, whether that’s with a donation or just by cheering us on from the sidelines.

Our transformed auditorium reopened with Sleeping Beauty in November after a ten-month closure. Thanks to your generous donations, almost 3000 subsidised tickets could be offered to local schools and charity partners across Cambridgeshire.
