Cambridge Arts Theatre Trust announces £1 million donation from Mark Pigott KBE

Cambridge Arts Theatre Trust are delighted to announce that Mark Pigott KBE has made a £1m donation to support the Theatre’s transformational redevelopment and long-term vision.

Mark Pigott is an American businessman and philanthropist, and a major donor to the UK, with a commitment to strengthening theatre and the wider cultural sector. He has supported many leading institutions such as the British Library, Historic Royal Palaces, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and the National Theatre.

Sir Richard Dearlove, Chair of Cambridge Arts Theatre Trust said: “I am deeply grateful to Mark Pigott for his generosity and his belief in our long-term vision. This major gift is a remarkable vote of confidence in The Arts Theatre and in the role live performance plays in the cultural life of Cambridge. It will help secure the Theatre’s future and support the next stage of our transformation, ensuring we remain a thriving and resilient cultural institution for the city.”
